We are a family-owned company run by two siblings from Bergen. From the beginning, we built our tours around walking, shared transport, local knowledge and fair pay for the people guiding you.

How we travel
The journey is part of the experience
Bergen, Fantoft and Fløyen
We explore on foot and ride the electric Fløibanen funicular and Bybanen light rail. Replacement buses may be needed when the light rail is closed; we have not verified the energy source of every replacement vehicle.
Flåm and Nærøyfjord
Electric trains and the Flåm Railway take us into the mountains, followed by a battery-electric boat on Nærøyfjord. The route also includes a coach from Gudvangen to Voss, whose energy source we have yet to confirm.
Medieval Bergen
Our Haakons Hall and Bryggens Museum tour is entirely on foot, with time indoors to explore Bergen’s history and a stop at a neighbourhood pub.
We chose not to offer a Sognefjord itinerary that relied on a diesel express boat. For our fjord tour, we chose the route combining electric rail and a battery-electric boat.
The people guiding you
Fair pay, even on quiet days
Our guides receive a fixed base payment plus a supplement for each guest. If an assigned tour is cancelled, the guide still receives the base payment. A quiet booking day should not leave the person doing the work carrying all the risk.
With a maximum of eight guests on our small-group tours, there is room for questions and conversation. Your local guide knows Bergen well and stays with you throughout the tour.
Part of the local community
Places with people behind them
Our tours include visits to Fantoft Stave Church, Fløibanen, Haakons Hall and Bryggens Museum. On our Bergen tours, we also share a drink at Dyvekes Vinkjeller or Dr. Wiesener.
These visits direct part of your ticket price to the attractions, transport operators and small venues that make the experience possible. We have not yet measured the share spent with local independent businesses.
Looking ahead
What we still need to improve
We are a small, seasonal business. We cannot yet offer permanent guide positions, and some of our routines need better documentation. Our priorities for 2027 include:
- Confirming the energy source of the Gudvangen–Voss coach.
- Completing a written emergency plan and practising it with every guide before the season.
- Publishing clearer accessibility information and an AI policy.
- Measuring local spending and direct bookings, and developing at least one winter tour.
Planning your visit

We would like as many people as possible to join us. If you use a wheelchair or have other access needs, please contact us before booking so we can discuss the route and available support.
Our Bergen routes include cobbles and slopes, and wheelchair users need a companion who can assist. Our scheduled Flåm express tour is not suitable for wheelchair users because of its tight connections.
Ask us about accessibilityWe use AI to help with administration and writing. A person reviews every text we write to guests, and we never use AI to create reviews or to handle payment details.
