From the top of Mount Fløyen, Bergen lies below you: the harbour, the rooftops and the mountains that frame the city. It is the best place to see Bergen before you get to know it.
At Fantoft, a stave church of dark tarred wood rises among tall trees, with carved dragon heads on the roof. Back in the centre, you wander through Lille Øvregaten, Skostredet and Hollendergaten, lanes of old wooden houses and cobblestones where Bergen still feels like a small town.
There is no group to keep up with. Stop for photos, ask about anything that makes you curious and stay longer where you like. Your guide takes care of the tickets, the timing and the way.

The day ends at Dyvekes, named after the beautiful Dyveke, whose romance with a king took a tragic turn. Over a historic beer, your guide tells you the rest of her story. Stay on as long as you like, or let your guide walk you back to the Blue Stone, where the day began.
